This is my own design available with round or diamond shaped dial base.
Usually made from solid oak and black walnut boards (both are hardwoods).
Finely selected contrasting hardwoods are cut, planed and sanded to
size and edge glued with biscuits for clock base and the clock face
piece. Both pieces then edge routed, sanded at least twice more and
then hand rubbed with several coats of Danish oil. Allowed an hour
to dry before the second coat is applied and hand rubbed until it is
almost dry and then allowed to dry overnight. The final third coat
is applied, had rubbed and again allowed to dry for at least 72 hours.
After the inspection for imperfections the final assembly begins with
mounting the imported bezel and dial to the face piece. American made
battery powered pendulum movement and movement hands are inserted and
the movement is checked for accuracy. Face piece is then offset against
the back piece and secured. Approximate total time from the selection
of wood to finished process: four to five days.
